Jimmy Butler is out indefinitely after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee Sunday morning, the Timberwolves announced.
The Wolves say Butler is out indefinitely, but multiple reports this weekend suggest Butler will be out 4-6 weeks, which would corroborate with the average time missed by NBA players who undergo meniscal surgery, according to Reuters.
Butler suffered the injury in Friday's loss to the Houston Rockets.
Without him, the Wolves defeated the Chicago Bulls 122-104 Saturday night.
