Jimmy Butler was hanging out with kids in Orono on Monday night

The new Timberwolves star is already making a big impact in the community.

Jimmy Butler took in some youth football in a suburb west of the Twin Cities on Monday night.

Butler, the new star swingman set to make his debut with the Timberwolves on Wednesday night, was in Orono for the youth football game.

Butler wrote on Facebook: "Nothing like MNF. Thank you to the Orono Spartans for having me out tonight for the game! wish I could spend all my Monday nights watching a little fourth grade football!!"

Why was Butler there? We're not sure, although we've reached out to Orono's youth football program for answers.
