Joe Mauer has won a Silver Slugger Award for the fifth time in his career.

Mauer missed the final month and change of the season because of a concussion, but he still finished with 11 home runs, 47 RBI and .324 batting average. He finished second in the American League batting race behind Detroit's Miguel Cabrera (.348).

Ex-Twin Michael Cuddyer, who won the National League batting title, won a Silver Slugger Award, too.
