Kalil: 'It's just a matter of time'

Rookie left tackle Matt Kalil says, "It's just a matter of time" before he starts playing at a more comfortable level for the Vikings. In a Q & A with the Pioneer Press, Kalil says he plans on being as dominant in the NFL as he was at the University of Southern California.

Kiffin says Kalil's dream vehicle is a Ford truck. "That's what you're getting. He's not going to buy the sports car. He's just a good old lineman."

Friday is a big day for the Minnesota Vikings as they prepare to meet with USC left tackle Matt Kalil. The 6-foot-6, 306 pound first team All-American wasn't shy by saying he definitely believes he is the best offensive lineman in the draft. Many draft experts believe Kalil will be taken by the Vikings with the third overall pick.

Christian Ponder and Matt Kalil together forever?

In an interview on NFL Network's "Total Access," Vikings' quarterback Christian Ponder said he hasn't stopped smiling since the Vikings drafted left tackle Matt Kalil. He says Kalil is "really athletic" and already doing a great job at OTAs. "Hopefully we have 10-15 years together with the Vikings," Ponder said.
