League executives pick the Lynx to win this year's WNBA title

The Lynx took home a slew of awards.

According to a survey done by WNBA general managers, the Minnesota Lynx are the favorites to win this year's WNBA championship.

If Minnesota is able to pull off another title, it will be their fourth championship in seven years. Last season, the team fell in a heartbreaker to the Sparks.

Here are the results of which team will win the 2017 WNBA Finals:

  • Minnesota Lynx, 42%
  • Los Angeles Sparks 33%
  • Washington Mystics 17%
  • Atlanta Dream 8%

Meanwhile, individuals on the team also picked up a ton of awards in the preseason survey.

Maya Moore was voted the best forward, best finisher, best at creating her own show, most dangerous in the open floor, and the player general managers would want taking a shot with the game on the line.

Sylvia Fowles was voted as the best interior defender and the league's best center, and Cheryl Reeve was picked to win WNBA Coach of the Year.

The Lynx season opener kicks off this Sunday against the Chicago Sky at the Xcel Energy Center. The Target Center is currently undergoing renovations, so Minnesota will play all their home games in St. Paul this season.
