Like it or not, the Timberwolves will have a jersey patch sponsor next season

The Wolves and Fitbit agreed on a three-year contract on Tuesday.

Hey basketball fans, we hope you're cool with sponsors on jerseys because the Timberwolves will have one for the next three seasons.

The Wolves agreed on a three-year partnership with Fitbit, which will include a jersey patch on the Wolves' jersey for the upcoming 2017-18 season. Fitbit will be the Official Wearable and Official Sleep Tracker of the Timberwolves, Lynx and the Iowa Wolves (D-League affiliate).

"The fitness company will provide access to devices to all three teams, including business and basketball staffs, offering personalized insights that can be used to gain a competitive advantage and improve performance throughout the organization," according to a team news release.

It's no surprise Fitbit and the Timberwolves were able to agree on a partnership because they already love Minnesota. Last month, Fitbit said Duluth was the fittest city in the country.

In May of 2016, the NBA announced they'd allow teams to start adding advertisements on jerseys beginning in the 2017-18 season. Minnesota joins the list of many teams who have also announced jersey sponsorships for next season.

Multiple WNBA teams have jersey sponsorships and basketball teams in Europe do too. However the patches and sponsors won't be as obnoxious as they are overseas.

All patches must be 2.5 square inches or smaller – per league rules – and all deals will be structured as three-year trial periods.
