Lindsey Vonn says she injured her hand while breaking up a fight between her dogs

Lindsey Vonn's dogs "got rowdy" fighting over a frisbee this weekend – and when the Olympic skiier went to break them up, she says she injured her hand.

Vonn, whose career has been interrupted by bouts with physical ailments in recent years, posted the story on her Facebook,

" target="_blank">Twitter and Instagram accounts Saturday.

Here's the Twitter version – fair warning in case you're easily squeamish, the video does show the injured hand. It's a bit bloodied and bruised with some apparent stitches.

"I just decided to do Jimmy Fallon for a belated Halloween outfit," Vonn joked in the video. (The "Tonight Show" host has injured both his hands in the past five months, one of which was pretty gruesome.)

She also thanked Dr. Randy Viola, a surgeon who's worked with the U.S. ski and snowboard teams, for "fixing" her.

Also, if you want to see the canine culprits, Leo and Bear Vonn have their own Instagram account.

This latest setback shouldn't keep her out of competitions – Vonn told the Associated Press she plans to hit the slopes Sunday and should be good to go for the next World Cup competition, later this month.

Vonn holds the record for all-time World Cup victories, winning gold in the downhill and taking a bronze in the super-G during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. But injuries have been a problem for her recently.

Just last month, the 31-year-old Vonn pulled out of the season-opening Solden World Cup – a decision made as she recovers from a fractured ankle in August.

She missed the 2014 Sochi Olympics after tearing two ligaments in her right knee during a crash at the 2013 World Championships.

The giant slalom in Aspen, Colorado is Nov. 28.
