Two major knee surgeries. One impressive Olympian.

On Jan. 25, NBC will feature a one-hour documentary showcasing the comeback trail Minnesota's Lindsey Vonn has traveled as she continues to fight her way back from multiple knee injuries, according to NBC Sports.

“’Lindsey Vonn: The Climb’ will invite viewers inside Lindsey’s journey and a very personal part her life rarely seen by the public,” said Joe Gesue, Senior Vice President, Production, NBC Olympics and Executive Editor, NBC Sports Group. “This film is a compelling and very human portrait of an extraordinary athlete fighting pain and uncertainty to regain her place as the dominant figure in one of the most demanding and dangerous sports in the Olympic world.”

Vonn grew up skiing at Buck Hill in Burnsville, Minnesota; her talents took her all the way to the gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The four-time World Cup champion – the most of all-time – was gearing up for another run at gold at last year's Sochi Olympics before she completely tore her ACL and MCL in a downhill crash on Feb. 5, 2013.

After painstaking rehab, Vonn returned to the slopes only to re-tear her right ACL during a training run on Nov. 20, 2013. She attempted another comeback but her knee wasn't strong enough, forcing her to withdraw from the games.

Vonn allowed NBC to get a transparent look at nearly every angle of her challenge. The documentary will include never-before-seen video of her crashes, surgeries and rehab.

“This is the most inside look I’ve ever given to my world,” Vonn said, “and I hope it inspires others who are going through challenges to keep getting back up when they are down.”

Vonn is currently training for next month's World Championships. She's won two of four races since returning from her injuries, giving her 61 World Cup wins; just one behind Austria's Annemarie Moser-Proell for the most of all-time, according to the Denver Post.

Vonn is headed to Europe on Monday for three downhill and two super-G races. Two first-place finishes will give her the record.

No word on whether Vonn's main squeeze, Tiger Woods, will be included in the documentary.
