Twins take aim at sweeping the Tribe w/o Liriano

The Minnesota Twins have a chance to sweep the Cleveland Indians Sunday afternoon at Target Field after handing the tribe a couple of embarrassing losses. Right-hander Brian Duensing will step in for Francisco Liriano, who was traded to the Chicago White Sox. Ubaldo Jimenez will take the hill for the Indians. Twins Third baseman Danny Valencia is also back for the first time since being sent down to Triple-A Rochester in May.

After another rough outing the Minnesota Twins plan to "take a step back" with Francisco Liriano. Ron Gardenhire says "we're going to step back to see what we need to do to try to get his confidence back." If this means a move to the bullpen, Liriano said, "That would be OK with me."

Morneau takes swings before game

There were several reports from Target Field Saturday that Justin Morneau was hitting a ball off of a tee. He has been on the disabled list retroactive to May 1 with a sore left wrist. Morneau did not take full batting practice.
