St. Cloud State University is hosting the NCAA Central regional tournament for the rights to go the College World Series in Cary, North Carolina.

Eight teams are competing in the regional with three Minnesota based school being involved in the tournament.

St. Cloud State is joined by fellow Minnesota schools: the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs and Mankato State Mavericks. The tournament is double-elimination and the bracket can be found here.

The tournament caused a bit of controversy earlier this month when Governor Mark Dayton banned MnSCU schools from traveling to North Carolina because of the state's transgender bathroom policy.

Shortly after the announcement, the ban was lifted by the Governor allowing the teams to travel if they indeed win the Central Regional.
