Lynx destroy New York, 73-47

The Lynx put a whooping on the Liberty, 73-47 Tuesday night in New York.

Lindsay Whalen led the Lynx with 18 points and Maya Moore added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

It was Moore's first game against the Liberty since New York coach Bill Laimbeer said Moore "should get hurt" for staying in game that Minnesota was dominating against the Liberty earlier this month.

Laimbeer accused the Lynx (21-7) of keeping Moore in the game so she could win another player of the week award, which she did on Monday.

With the win, the Lynx increased its overall lead in the Western Conference to 1 1/2 games ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks.
