The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Phoenix Mercery 96-86 Friday night to go up 2-0 in their best-of-five playoff series. One more win for the Lynx will punch their ticket to the WNBA Finals for the fourth time in the past five years.

After the Lynx jumped out to an 11-point lead after the first quarter, Phoenix actually outscored Minnesota in the next three quarters but Minnesota was able to hold on for the win.

Maya Moore led the way with 26 points, including four 3-pointers, and was a perfect 10-10 from the free-throw line. Lindsay Whalen added 16 points and Rebekkah Brunson posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Minnesota as a team shot 43 percent from the floor. Phoenix had a tough time knocking down shots from behind the arc, hitting just 2-12 shots from 3-point land.

Minnesota will try to close out the series at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Sunday. And yes, that's a real arena.
