Lynx outrun Sky for their 11th straight win

The Minnesota Lynx won their 11th straight game on Thursday night by beating the Chicago Sky 74-64 at Target Center. The Lynx made big plays down the stretch, especially in the final moments of the game to pick up the 10-point victory.

Maya Moore led the Lynx with 17 points, Lindsay Whalen had 14, both players made big plays in the fourth quarter to help lock up the victory.

Unfortunately the win did not help the Lynx gain ground on Phoenix, who remains in the top spot in the Western Conference. The Mercury held on to beat San Antonio in overtime to maintain their 1.5 game lead.

According to the Star Tribune, the Lynx held Chicago to a season low 24 points in the first half. But that all changed early in the third quarter.

The Sky went on a 9-0 run out of the gate to take a 33-30 lead.

The battle was on down the stretch. Both teams fought, but Minnesota grabbed the lead in the fourth.

The Lynx (24-6) play at Phoenix on Saturday night, in a game that could determine the Western Conference's top seed.
