The Lynx ripped the L.A. Sparks 88-77 in a battle of the top two Western Conference teams Tuesday night at Target Center. Seimone Augustus scored 23 points to lead Minnesota, and in doing so she set the record for most points in franchise history. Maya Moore also scored 23 points.

Lynx in L.A. Thursday to take on 2nd-place Sparks

The Lynx travel to the West Coast Thursday to take on the Los Angeles Sparks at Staples Center. The Sparks are in second place in the WNBA Western Conference standings with a 10-6 record behind the 13-2 Lynx. The Lynx won the last meeting between the teams, 92-84, on May 24.

The defending WBNBA champs - The Minnesota Lynx - was blown out in L.A. last night. The Sparks romped Minnesota by a score of, 92-76. Candace Park led the Sparks with 22 points. Monica Wright led Minnesota with 19.

Lynx lose at Chicago, win streak snapped at 11

The Lynx' 11-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday night as they lost to the Chicago Sky, 83-70 in Chicago. The loss doesn't hurt the Lynx because they've already secured the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Minnesota was once again without Seimone Augustus.

Minnesota Lynx guard Seimone Augustus is putting together an MVP-caliber season. She moved into sixth place on WNBA.com's weekly Race for the MVP feature. Augustus scored 26 points to lead the Lynx in a blowout win over New York on Thursday night.
