Lynx sweep, claim second WNBA title in 3 years

Winning seems to come easily for the Minnesota Lynx, and the farther they've gone, the better they've been.

Last night, although it was slightly closer than the first two games, they once again left no doubt who the best team in the WNBA is, sweeping the dream out of the Finals and winning their second WNBA title in three years with a 86-77 victory.

After winning games one and two by 25 points each, Minnesota led by double digits most of the game, before Atlanta made a comeback to try and save their chances.

It wasn't enough, as the Lynx, led by Maya Moore who put up 23 points on just nine shots, were solid throughout, shooting 53 percent from the field.

Every starter reached double figures, Rebekkah Brunson became the all-time leader in rebounds in the Finals, and despite showing up 32 minutes late to the arena because of traffic, Minnesota got to celebrate.

Here was one of many highlights from the contest.

Maya Moore was named WNBA Finals MVP, there will be a championship parade at 11:30 A.M. Monday on Nicollet Mall.

We have a winner Minnesota fans, we're sorry if you've forgotten what it feels like since their last title in 2011.
