For the first time this season the Minnesota Lynx lost a basketball game, falling to the Los Angeles Sparks 94-76 at Target Center Friday night. Before the loss, the Lynx set a WNBA record with a 13-0 start to the season.
Ironically, the Sparks also have just one loss on the season and it was to this same Lynx team.
Minnesota trailed by two heading into halftime, but the Sparks carried over their strong play into the second half, especially from behind the arc – hitting 57 percent of their three pointers in their win.
Maya Moore was back in the lineup for the Lynx and had a game high 28 points but she was only the starter for Minnesota to finish in double figures.
The Lynx will be back in action on Sunday afternoon in Washington when they play the Mystics.
