Matt Cullen is back for another go around with the Wild

Cullen has hoisted three Stanley Cups in his career.

Matt Cullen is back in the State of Hockey for another stint with the Wild.

Cullen agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract on Wednesday. The 40-year-old center previously played for Minnesota from 2010-13, where he collected 101 points in 193 games.

He recently helped the Penguins capture a second-straight Stanley Cup, where he tallied 9 points in this year's playoffs. It was the third time the Minnesota native hoisted Lord Stanley's trophy.

The former standout at St. Cloud State University will help bring a veteran presence to the Wild locker room. This upcoming season will be Cullen's 20th in the NHL.

Cullen will most likely play in a bottom-six role for the team but he'll still provide plenty of value. He registered 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) during the regular season last year, while also winning over 50 percent of his faceoffs.
