It would have been bigger news if Maya Moore wasn't named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
The superstar for the Minnesota Lynx was, however, named the player of the week for a third consecutive week. This award represents games played between July 20 and Aug. 2, where she averaged 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
Minnesota won three of four games and Moore led the conference in scoring during that stretch.
Moore and Lindsay Whalen have earned four of the eight Western Conference Player of the Week awards this season.
