The Star Tribune reports that personal issues will keep Golden Gophers sophomore wide receiver Andre McDonald out of spring practice, which begins later this month.

Per the report, McDonald is not enrolled in spring classes at the University of Minnesota and he has been taken off the roster.

None of the news rules him out for the 2013 season.

While the latest personal issues are unknown, McDonald has dealt with plenty of hardship in his life, as Phil Miller reports.
