Mel Kiper: Pair of Vikings rookies are among the NFL's best

Two of the Minnesota Vikings' rookies are making some waves all over the NFL.

ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper has ranked both wide receiver Stefon Diggs and linebacker Eric Kendricks in the top 10 of his NFL Draft rankings.

Kiper ranked Diggs fifth:

"He didn't play at all in September, but Diggs already has more receiving yards than any rookie not named Amari Cooper. He was always a dangerous player in space, with quick feet and the ability to change directions without losing speed, but Diggs is also showing great hands and getting behind the defense. He's a weapon."

Diggs already leads the Vikings with 324 receiving yards in just three games. Last week he even caught his first touchdown pass as the Vikings beat Detroit 28-19. Diggs has drawn some comparisons to Randy Moss for how he has burst onto the scene.

He's also been the Vikings big-play threat in the passing game.

But that wasn't the only Vikings rookie Kiper was raving about. He ranked Kendricks sixth:

"Not only is Kendricks on his way to leading the Vikings in tackles, he's also tied for the lead among all rookies with 4.0 sacks. The Vikings went back to the well at UCLA after getting Anthony Barr last year, and so far Kendricks has been great."

Kendricks is currently second on the team with 35 tackles, and he leads the team with 32 solo stops and trails only Everson Griffen in sacks.

Kendricks was nominated for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award after a big game against the Lions.

If the Vikings are able to make a playoff run, it's very likely Diggs and Kendricks will have a big hand in it.
