The host city for the 2017 College Football Playoff championship game could be Minneapolis.

The Star Tribune reports that Minneapolis has placed a bid with the hopes of hosting the game at the new Vikings stadium.

Five other cities also placed a bid: Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, San Antonio and Santa Clara.

The winner will be announced in November.
