An Albert Lea swimmer has set the new high school national record in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Lindsey Horejsi was competing in the event at the state swim meet Thursday when she was clocked at 58.56 seconds in the event, beating the old mark by nearly two-tenths of a second.

The Tigers standout set the national record as a personal goal at state.

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Horejsi, just last week KAAL TV reported that she signed her National Letter of Intent to swim for the University of Minnesota next year.
