This may be the state of hockey, and Jan. 19 may be Hockey Day Minnesota, but Matt Vanda and Caleb Truax would like to remind sports fans that there's an historic local boxing match taking place Saturday night.

Both will meet in the main event at the Minneapolis Convention Center for the Minnesota Middleweight Championship.

For Vanda (44-14), a St. Paul favorite known as "the Predator," it's his last fight of his 14-year career. "I hope I go out with a knockout victory," Vanda said in a promotional YouTube video (below).

"If there's one thing I can guarantee," Truax (21-1) replies, "He's not going to knock me out."

There are seven fights on the card, which starts at 7:00 p.m.
