It's hard to a be a Minnesota sports fan right now. The Twins had the worst record in the American League. The Timberwolves had the worst record in the NBA and now they're locked out. Gopher football just lost 58-0. The Wild have missed the playoffs three years in a row. And the Vikings are 0-4. How bad can it get?

Thome homers in return to Minnesota

Jim Thome hit a home run in the ninth inning off of Joe Nathan and the Indians beat the Twins, 7-6. It was Thome's first game back in Minnesota, and he received a video tribute before his first at-bat. The Twins have now lost six games in row and are now the second team in baseball with 90-losses.

Royals flush away Twins with matinee victory

The Twins lost to the Royals by a score of 7-3 Wednesday afternoon. Minnesota now has the worst record in the American League and are four games behind the Royals at the bottom of the A.L. Central. The Twins have only won two of 18 series since the All-Star break, and they've been swept six times.

Lynx dump Indiana, 86-79

Maya Moore scored a season high 29 points to lead the Lynx over the Indiana Fever, 86-79 at Target Center. Lindsay Whalen added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists as Minnesota finishes the regular season with a 16-1 home record. The Lynx finish with three road games before the playoffs begin later this month.

Vikings uniforms among most ugly in pro sports, ESPN says

Apparently Minnesota doesn't have much fashion sense when it comes to the uniforms of the Vikings and Timberwolves. ESPN.com's sports uniform blogger ranked the Vikings' 119th out of 122 in the worst to first list of uniforms in the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL, and the Wolves at 115. The Wild, at least were ranked No. 32 overall, while the Twins came in at No. 71.
