The Minnesota State, Mankato Mavericks bounced back from their loss to University of Minnesota Friday and beat the Gophers 5-3 Saturday night in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action in Mankato. Mavericks freshman Dylan Margonari broke a 3-3 tie late in the third period and his team added an empty-net goal afterward to secure the victory.

The Minnesota State, Mankato Mavericks bounced back from their loss to University of Minnesota Friday and beat the Gophers 5-3 Saturday night in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action in Mankato, reported The Associated Press.

Mavericks freshman Dylan Margonari broke a 3-3 tie late in the third period and his team added an empty-net goal afterward to secure the victory.

The Gophers topped the Mavericks 3-2 Friday night at Marriuci Arena.
