In what has become a Minnesota rarity apart from the Lynx- considering the Timberwolves might not play this year and the Vikings might not win this year- the Minnesota Wild scored a decisive season-opening victory at Xcel Energy Center Saturday night. Minnesota controlled the action, forcing their offensive will, and notched a comfortable 4-2 victory. The Wild will look to continue the trend in New York Monday against the Islanders.
