Tracy Claeys and his coaching staff are gone from the Gophers, but Minnesota's top football recruit from staying the course.

Blaise Andries, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman from Marshall tweeted Wednesday that he's not de-committing.

"It certainly saddens me to hear of the release of Coach Claeys and his staff," Andries wrote. "I want to thank them for the relationships and the offer. I wish them the best of luck and I know that they will be successful in the next chapter of their coaching careers and lives. Hopefully some will be considered for the current openings. That would be awesome. Nevertheless, I am still committed to the University of Minnesota. Thank you, Go Gophers!"

That's a good start for Minnesota with speculation that incoming recruits and current players could leave the program after Claeys was fired.

"No one is happy with the administration right now," senior quarterback Mitch Leidner said, via Land of 10. "I don’t know who would want to be a part of this program at this time.”
