Gopher men defeat Ohio State 6-2

Travis Boyd recorded his first career hat trick as the Gopher men's hockey team beat Ohio State 6-2 to complete a weekend sweep.

Boyd now leads Minnesota (14-9-3, 5-2-3-0 Big Ten) with 13 goals this season. Sam Warning and Seth Ambroz each had a career-high three assists.

Adam Wilcox stopped 16 shots Saturday as Minnesota outshot Ohio State 28-18. Full recap here.

The Gophers host Michigan for two games Friday and Saturday nights.

Gopher women defeat UND 3-1

No. 2 Minnesota scored three unanswered goals in a 3-1 win and earn a series split on the road at No. 8 North Dakota Saturday afternoon.

Minnesota's (25-2-4, 18-2-4-2 WCHA) goals came from Dani Cameranesi, Hannah Brandt and Rachel Ramsey. Goalie Amanda Leveille had 17 saves. Full recap here.

MSU Mankato defeats Alaska Anchorage 4-0

Top-rated Minnesota State Mankato won over Alaska Anchorage 4-0 in Mankato Saturday evening, completing the two-game series sweep. The win gives the Mavericks their 17th victory in the last 20 games. Full recap here.
