Monday morning quarterback: Ponder vs. Pack?

The winds of change were swirling in Chicago Sunday night. On Monday morning, the big question isn't so much "What went wrong?," but "Will Christian Ponder start against the Packers?"

That was ugly.

No one is wondering what went wrong Sunday night in Chicago. It was all right there.
The sacks. Devin Hester. The dropped passes. Devin Hester. You get the idea.

OK, so what went wrong again? Well, that pounding of Bears QB Jay Cutler never happened. When it was all over, Vikings defensive end Brian Robison called the affair "humiliating." Pioneer Press scribe Tom Powers was a little more nasty, saying the Vikings were simply "off the charts in terms of being lousy."

Sid Hartman, a guy who has seen it all -- from the beginning -- said the Vikings never had a chance.

The Chicago writers don't disagree. From the Tribune, columnist David Haugh takes it a step further, writing: "This was an average Bears team handily beating a bad Vikings team that looked like contenders only for the Andrew Luck Derby." Ouch.

Worse? From Chicago Sun-Times writer Rick Morrissey: "It cannot be overstated how bad the Vikings are."

So, a 39-10 blowout by the Bears behind them, what do the 1-5 Vikings do next?

Start Christian Ponder against the Packers next Sunday? Fox Sports North says Ponder seems ready, but is Frazier willing to pull the trigger?

We'll see.
