Moore chills Fever with career-high 35, Lynx win 84-77

After a murky last couple of weeks for the Lynx, they persevered in a game led by Maya Moore's 35 points as Minnesota beat the Indiana Fever 84-77 Saturday night at Target Center.

Maoore also hit at crunch time, scoring 11 in the 4th quarter. As the Pioneer Press reports, Seimone Augustus scored five consecutive points in Minnesota's 10-0 run in the final minutes that snapped a 72-all tie with the Fever, who defeated the Lynx in last year's WNBA Finals. Moore had the other five points in the run.

Augustus had 17, reports the Star Tribune.

Janel McCarville added 12 for the Lynx (20-7), who won for the third time in four games and lead Los Angeles by 1½ games atop the Western Conference, reports the Associated Press. That's a bounce-back from a three-game losing streak.

Tamika Catchings scored 22 points and Shavonte Zellous had 19 as the Fever (12-15) fell a half-game behind Washington for third place in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has lost four of five and five of seven.
