Morneau over the hill? Not if you ask his dad

Don't tell Justin Morneau's dad that his son's best days of baseball are long gone.

Wait. Somebody already did? Uh oh. Here we go ...

The Pioneer Press brought up the thought, and 65-year-old George Morneau responded:

"That's a bunch of baloney. I know my son, and he's working hard to prove a lot of people wrong."

Even if Morneau does return to something near his 2006 MVP form, there's a pretty good chance it'll happen for another team.

Morneau could be traded before Wednesday's 3:00 p.m. CT non-waiver deadline.
