Max Kepler hit a rocket shot of a home run with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Twins a 9-8 win over the Astros this afternoon.
"I was just trying to keep it simple," Kepler told Fox Sports North after the game. "I was just locked in."
It was Kepler's second homer of the game. His first was a moon shot to right field in the Twins' 8-run fourth inning.
Minnesota blew the 8-1 lead, surrendering 4 runs in the sixth, 1 in the seventh and 2 more in the ninth on a throwing error by second baseman Brian Dozier.
The Twins took two of three in the series and are now 6-4 on the season.
