Tyus Jones wasn't in the mood for tying anything last night. The Timberwolves hometown point guard played the hero role Wednesday night with the go-ahead 3-pointer to give the Wolves a 112-109 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Jones, a product of Apple Valley High School in the south Twin Cities metro, drilled the three over Corey Joseph with 19.5 seconds to play.

His shot was the kind of shot Duke fans became very familiar with en route to winning the 2014 NCAA national championship. Jones got the nickname "Stones" and lived up to it by winning MVP of the Final Four.

"You shoot thousands and thousands and thousands of those shots," Jones said after the game. "My teammates and coaches told me to keep shooting with confidence and you just gotta trust them."
