It's a special opportunity to be able to grant one person's special wish. That is exactly the opportunity that Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx had recently as part of the ESPN and Make A Wish Foundation's My Wish program.
Moore was one of five professional athletes chosen to be featured by the network on Thursday evening.
The WNBA's reigning MVP and scoring champion hosted 14-year-old Ariya Smith, a Colorado teenager and basketball fanatic who's been diagnosed with lupus.
Her wish was to come to Minnesota and meet her idol – Moore.
