The Minnesota Wild went to its fourth straight overtime game Thursday night, but lost in a shootout, 2-1 in Nashville. Dany Heatley scored his team-leading 23rd goal for the Wild. Just two games remain, the Wild hosts Chicago Thursday and Phoenix on Saturday.

Another game and another loss for the Wild as the Predators dropped them 2-1 in an overtime shootout Wednesday night. The Wild failed to score in the shootout en route to its eighth straight loss. Dany Heatley scored the lone Minnesota goal -- his eleventh of the season. Josh Harding was very good in goal, stopping 24-of-25 shots.

Wild beats Flames on Setoguchi's shootout winner

Wild beats Blackhawks in shootout, 2-1

Cal Clutterbuck tied the game at one with a goal late in the third period and Devin Setoguchi scored the shootout winner as the Wild beat the Blackhawks, 2-1 at Xcel Energy Center Thursday night. Minnesota has played a franchise record five consecutive overtime games -- four of which they've won.

Backstrom, Heatley and Setoguchi had minor surgeries

The procedures weren't serious, but Minnesota Wild stars Niklas Backstrom, Dany Heatley and Devin Setoguchi have had minor surgeries since their season ended earlier this month. Backstrom and Setoguchi battled injuries this season, but Heatley played in every game.

Wild wins in shootout over Coyotes

The Minnesota Wild beat the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2 Thursday night. Kyle Brodziak and Stephen Kampfer scored 54 seconds apart to give the Wild a 2-0 lead in the second period, but the Coyotes scored two goals in a little over a minute to tie the game in the third. Dany Heatley scored the shootout winner in the fifth round.

Wild's amazing comeback attempt falls short after shootout slip in Montreal

The Minnesota Wild's amazing comeback came to a crashing halt in a 5-4 shootout loss in Montreal Thursday night. The Wild trailed 4-1 with less than four minutes to play before rallying for three goals, included the tying goal from Devin Setoguchi with ten seconds left in regulation. The Wild then lost in the shootout after Setoguchi lost control of the puck and fell down before getting a shot off.

Yeo says Heatley was probably Wild's MVP

Head coach Mike Yeo says Dany Heatley was probably the Wild's MVP this season. He hinted that Heatley would have finished with more than 24 goals if Mikko Koivu didn't miss 27 games. Even without his top linemate out of action, Yeo says Heatley "never once complained."

Wild players ignored in All-Star voting

Fan voting for the NHL All-Star Game ended Wednesday and the vote didn't go well for the Minnesota Wild. Not a single player finished in the top 20 for forwards, defensemen or goalies. Fans choose the first six players voted in, and four of the six play for Ottawa -- the host city for the January 29 game.
