A hungry Linval Joseph ate up the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award last week, and Vikings defensive back Terence Newman earned the same award this week.

Joseph dominated the Rams to win it while Newman had two interceptions to help the Vikings improve to 7-2 on the season with a 30-14 victory over the Raiders.

According to the Vikings, Newman joined Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders as the only defensive backs in NFL history age 37 or older to have two interceptions in a game. Newman added five passes defensed in the game, which led the league last week.
