Bob Sansevere of the Pioneer Press believes Vikings general manager Rick Spielman might favor LSU defensive back Morris Claiborne over USC left tackle Matt Kalil. While both players would fill positions of need for the Vikings, Sansevere writes that Spielman raved to him more about Claiborne than Kalil.

Christian Ponder and Matt Kalil together forever?

In an interview on NFL Network's "Total Access," Vikings' quarterback Christian Ponder said he hasn't stopped smiling since the Vikings drafted left tackle Matt Kalil. He says Kalil is "really athletic" and already doing a great job at OTAs. "Hopefully we have 10-15 years together with the Vikings," Ponder said.
