Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended six games without pay stemming from a domestic assault case in July of 2016.
Elliott was never charged after his ex-girlfriend accused him of assaulting her, but the NFL conducted its own investigation into the woman's claims and found enough evidence to consider them believable.
Elliott has three days to appeal the NFL's decision, which he is expected to do, according to multiple reports.
Since the July 2016 incident with his former girlfriend Elliott has been filmed exposing a woman's breast at a St. Patrick's Day parade and been involved at fight at a bar that left a man hospitalized. Deadspin obtained a police report from the bar fight and Elliott was accused of punching a man.
