Tubby Smith’s basketball Gophers are in Tallahassee tonight to face Florida State.

It’s Minnesota’s first big road test, outside of last week’s tournament in the Bahamas.

After going 2-1 in the “Battle for Atlantis" -- and stretching their record to 6-1 -- the Gophers climbed in the AP rankings to No. 21 in the nation.

The Gophers are not only armed with the current Big 10 player of the week in Andre Hollins, but it appears sixth-year senior Trevor Mbakwe is showing glimpses of his former self after ACL surgery. As the Star Tribune puts it, the Gophers will "need Mbakwe to be that guy in order to be successful."
