Malakwen takes Twin Cities Marathon

Sammy Malakwen finished first in Sunday's Twin Cities marathan, finishing the 26-mile course in a little over 2 hours 13 minutes. Malakwen is a native Kenyan who lives in Two Harbors. He fell short of winning Grandma's Marathon finishing third overall. Ethiopian Yeshimebet Tadesse-Bifa wins the women's race with a time of 2:28:24.
