The Oakland A's completed their sweep of the Twins on Thursday, 6-1. It is Oakland's ninth straight victory over Minnesota.

During that stretch Oakland has outscored the Twins 86-27, including 21-9 in the three-game sweep.

It was another rough day for a Twins starter. Mike Pelfrey gave up six runs in five innings on nine hits, while walking four.

Through nine games, the Twins (3-6) have just one quality start.

A's starter Dan Straily worked seven innings, he gave up one run on three hits to pick up the win.

One of those three hits for the Twins was a home run from Brian Dozier. That solo homer in the first inning game the Twins a brief lead at 1-0, and was Dozier's third of the season. That's all the Twins offense could muster as Jason Kubel and Josmil Pinto were the only other Twins to get hits.

In the second, the A's tied the game off of Pelfrey. Then Josh Donaldson put the A's on top, in the third, when he hit a two-run homer.

Pelfrey gave up another home run in the fourth off the bat of leadoff hitter Sam Fuld.

"It was not a very fun game out there," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "It was slow-paced and we didn't get many hits. We didn't get any after the third inning."

The Twins open a series against Kansas City on Friday night.
