Olympics: USA basketball holds off upset-minded Argentina

The USA men's and women's Olympic basketball teams both struggled to hold off Argentina on Sunday, but both teams prevailed. The men, led by 27 points from Kevin Durant won by a score of 86-80. Seimone Augustus led the women's team to a challenging 80-61 win.

The Minnesota Lynx are sending more than their fair share to the London Olympics as part of the Team USA basketball squad -- Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen. The Associated Press writes in a profile of the three players that the Lynx have taken over the WNBA. Now they're looking to conquer the world.

USA rallies for close win over Brazil, 80-69

The U.S. men’s team played an exhibition game against Brazil and held on for an 80-69 win. Not exactly the most impressive victory for a team trying to convince the world they could beat the 1992 Dream Team. Wolves star Kevin Love spent most of the game on the bench.
