The start of Organized Team Activities Tuesday at Winter Park allowed for a closer look at the young group of wide receivers on the Vikings' roster.

Here's a look at the career totals for player.

Greg Jennings: 425 receptions, 6,537 yards, 53 TD
Jerome Simpson: 97 receptions, 1,278 yards, 7 TD
Jarius Wright: 22 receptions, 310 yards, 2 TD
Cordarrelle Patterson: First-round draft pick from Tennessee
Joe Webb: 1 reception, 9 yards
Greg Childs: Missed entire rookie season due to injury
Stephen Burton: 7 receptions, 73 yards, 1 TD
Rodney Smith: Signed as rookie free-agent from Florida State
Eric Highsmith: Signed as rookie free-agent from North Carolina
Adam Thielen: Signed as rookie free-agent from Minnesota State

That's in inexperienced group. Combined, they have 552 career receptions. 14 active receivers/tight ends in the NFL have more than 552 career receptions.

The Daily Norseman believes Jennings, Wright and Patterson are the only locks to make the team this season.

Mike Wobschall of Vikings.com writes that Simpson caught what would have been a long touchdown pass from Christian Ponder on Tuesday.

Defensive end Jared Allen was the only player missing from Tuesday's activities. Team officials say he was gone for a "family obligation."

The team's web site also has 27 images of the first practice in a photo gallery.
