Packers sent packing with defeat in San Francisco

The 12-6 Green Bay Packers saw their season come screeching to a halt Saturday night. They lost to San Francisco by a score of 45-31. It was the second straight year the Packers lost in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Associated Press reports that the 49'ers Colin Kaepernick ran for a quarterback playoff record 181 yards and two touchdowns in his first playoff game. Kaepernick threw two scoring passes to Michael Crabtree in leading San Francisco back to the NFC championship game. Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers never found his groove and finished 26 of 39 for 257 yards with two touchdowns.
