The biggest question in Vikings territory? Hands down, whether or not Adrian Peterson will play Sunday when Minnesota opens the season against Jacksonville at the Metrodome. Right now, all signs point to the running back meeting his goal of returning to action on Week 1 after having surgery last December on two torn knee ligaments.

Adrian Peterson given green light to play

Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson is on the active roster and expected to play in the home opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday afternoon, the Pioneer Press reports. It will be Peterson's first game since tearing two ligaments in his left knee more than eight months ago.
