Peterson's rehab progresses to the pool

Adrian Peterson's rehab continues to progress at a rapid pace. Earlier this week the All-Pro running back started running in a pool. It's the first time he's done any running since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee last December.

Peterson: 'I feel like I'm going to come back better'

Adrian Peterson addressed the media today for the first time since tearing his ACL and MCL in his left knee on Christmas Eve. It was the first time off crutches, but his knee was still in a heavy brace. Peterson says he feels like he is "going to come back better than before."

Adrian Peterson's season has been so good so far that he's making people forget he tore his ACL less than a year ago. Peterson is 14 yards from passing his 2011 total, and is on pace for 1,700 yards.

Vikings: Peterson could be ready for 2012 season

The Minnesota Vikings are hopeful their star running back will be ready to kickoff their 2012 season. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee during the third quarter of Saturday's 33-26 win against the Washington Redskins. The Associated Press reports Peterson will have surgery within the next 10 days. The Vikings head trainer says Peterson will need eight to nine months to recover.

Peterson goes one-on-one with Irvin

In a one-on-one interview with NFL Network's Michael Irvin, Adrian Peterson reiterated that he plans on playing in the Vikings' season opener against Jacksonville. He also admitted the first portion of his recovery from a torn ACL was difficult. "Those first two weeks, to be honest ... it was hell," Peterson said. "Mentally, that was a blow for me."

Peterson misses practice again

Adrian Peterson was held out of practice again today. It’s been more than two weeks since he suffered a high ankle sprain in a game against the Raiders. He’s missed the last two games, but still hopes to play against the Lions on Sunday.

Peterson to start running by end of month

Adrian Peterson told KFAN this morning that he plans to begin running on Feb. 28. "I am definitely making improvement," the running back told KFAN-AM. Peterson had surgery for a torn ACL on Dec. 30.

Peterson: 'I'm just not there yet'

Adrian Peterson is about six months removed from ACL surgery, so it's understandable he's not moving like he used to move. "I know my body overall, and I know I'm just not there yet," Peterson said. "It's not terrible, but I'm not to where I know I need to be."
