Wolves off and running early as Pistons sputter

The Timberwolves bounced back from a disappointing loss on Wednesday night to beat Detroit 114-101.

The Wolves had a huge first quarter again opening up with 39 points in the first frame, but things slowed as the game went on, and the Wolves nearly let the Pistons back into the game in the fourth.

The Wolves were outscored in the final quarter 32-17.

Kevin Love had another double-double for the Wolves, he scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Kevin Martin added 24 and Ricky Rubio nearly posted a triple-double.

Nikola Pekovic also did some nice things inside for the Wolves. He scored 17 points and grabbed nine boards.

The Wolves are back in action on Sunday, when they host Toronto.
