The Twins will see a familiar face back at Target Field when they host Trevor Plouffe and the Oakland Athletics Tuesday.

Last year the Twins didn't tender a contract to Plouffe despite having another year of team control. With Plouffe making his first visit back to Minneapolis, the former infielder wants to stick it to his former club.

"It’ll be nice to see everyone again, but I want to beat up on them for sure," Plouffe said to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. "I’m definitely going to relay some information."

Plouffe was a first-round draft pick by the Twins in 2004 and spent seven seasons with the big league club. He was limited to just 84 games last season.

Through 24 games this season for the A's, Plouffe is hitting .207 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI. Last month Plouffe hit his 100th career home run.
