Leslie Frazier announced Thursday that Christian Ponder is the Vikings starting quarterback. It isn't breaking news, but it takes pressure off the second-year QB. Ponder says the game has "really slowed down" since last year. Frazier agrees, saying Ponder's "decision-making has gotten a lot better."
"I know we're very confident in Christian, but if one of those quarterbacks is too good to pass up, you also have to weight that in, too," Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman said, referring to some of the high-quality quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL draft.
