Mahnomen kicked off the second day of the state high school Prep Bowl Saturday at the Metrodome with a 20-14 victory over Bethlehem Academy for the Class 1A championship, reported the Pioneer Press.
The victory gave Mahnomen its seventh state championship overall.
In Class 3A championship action, Blue Earth rolled over Rochester Lourdes 30-7 to claim its first state title, WCCO-TV reported.
In the last championship game of the Prep Bowl series, Totino-Grace handily defeated Owatonna for Class 5A title, 49-21, the Star Tribune reported.
In Friday's action, Eden Prairie Academy topped Lakeville North 28-7 for the Class 6A championship, while the Hutchinson Tigers trounced Holy Family Catholic 67-7.
Also Friday. Caledonia won its third straight Class 2A title with a 25-22 win over Moose Lake/Willow River, while Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley defeated Grand Meadow 40-22 for the 9-Man championship.
